Description
Meatloaf has always been a comforting dish in my kitchen—one of those recipes that brings back memories of family dinners and second helpings.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 for best texture)
- 1 packet (1.5 oz) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
-
Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
-
Shape the Meatloaf: Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape it evenly. If not using a pan, form it into a loaf shape on a lined baking sheet.
-
Add Topping: Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top for a classic glaze.
-
Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
-
Rest & Serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables for a hearty meal!
